• The Yard: Raftup Concert, Dinner and Fireworks

  Registration closed Sunday June 28th. Assignments will be sent out Monday June 29th.

  Join us for a sail up to the Yards , where we will raftup for dinner and listen to the concert, we will end the night by catching the fireworks at Nats Park from the water, before we return to the marina. If possible, we will dock, but please bring something to share for dinner.

  If you have a vessel and want to come raftup with us, please register as a skipper. The more, the merrier.

  The free Navy Yard Summer Concert Series is BACK at the Yards Park boardwalk! Come to Yards Park to relax and enjoy the river view, fantastic bands, food and beverage, and a large variety of great restaurants within a few minutes walk from the park. Family-friendly lyrics and grassy open space make this an enjoyable event for adults and kids alike.

  As always, if the event is popular and we need more space, we will use the destination sail format, where crew swaps and handles vehicle logistics.

  Join SCOW for an evening on Back Creek as we motor Calypso and paddle kayaks to the Tunesday floating concert. Chronic Sailing hosts this free summer concert series, with artists performing atop a large catamaran until sunset. We’ll raft up and enjoy the music.

  Two ways to join:

  • To join on Calypso, (signups open a couple weeks before event)
  • To raft up with us on a kayak or paddleboard, bring your own or rent from Capital SUP Eastport. 

  Where? The concert plays on Back Creek directly across from the Capital SUP/kayak rental location at Nautilus Point. Park at Nautilus Point. Parking restrictions are not enforced currently.

  When? Recurring Tuesdays

  • Sailors, meet us at Calypso on Dock F at 5:00 pm.
  • Paddlers, meet at 6:00 pm at the kayak launch area for Capital SUP. Map below. Arriving later? No problem. You’ll see us on the water.

  Join us for a sail up to Audi Field for the DC United vs Toronto FC matchup! If you are a cruiser skipper for SCOW or have a vessel and want to join us, please register as a skipper. The more, the merrier!

  In honor of the World Cup, SCOW is celebrating with our home team! We will be sitting in section 130(or similar). We will sail from WSM to the James Creek Marina, and then walk to Audi Field for the game, then we'll sail back after the game.

  Depending on demand we may have room to sail there and back, so sign up for both session if you are able. If its popular we will sail destination style, where first crew sails and meets second crew at the field for the game.  Second crew sails back after the game. 

  Registration for this event is open now and will close July 3rd.
