Email Notice to SCOW Members - June 11, 2021

Hello SCOW Members - Your SCOW COVID-19 Task Force has recently agreed to two significant changes.

1) Wednesday Night Racing will no longer require pre-determined crews. We will return to the pre-COVID practice of forming racing crews at the marina on Wednesday nights.  Online registration for crew slots is no longer required. Racing Director Bonnie Sylwester will soon announce more details related to this change.

2) Thursday night Social Sail will now be open to the public, removing the members-only restriction that has been in place during the pandemic. Social Director Marie Brennan will begin to invite non-members through social media channels and members are encouraged to invite guests.

At all SCOW events, all are encouraged to bring a mask and to use it situationally, respecting those among us not yet fully vaccinated. For both WNR and Social sails, skippers have decision making authority regarding crew make-up and COVID related safety protocols.

The Task Force continues to monitor developments with the goal of restoring normal club operations. Our next focus will be the return of River and Bay activities.

Take Care -

Chip

Vice-Commodore and COVID-19 Task Force Chair
