SCOW COVID-19 Task Force Update

Good morning,

As Northern Virginia and Maryland move to Phase 2 of opening up and getting back to normal, the District of Columbia has not yet made that move.

Our Task Force met Thursday to review SCOW's Phase 1 and to plan our Phase 2 which will coincide with the District, as most of our sailing is in DC waters.

We are preparing to start on-the-water training activities and Wednesday night racing programs, both will be in small, low-risk groups.

While we are not quite ready for SCOW's Phase 2, we did want to implement one change immediately - as of today, we are opening crew size to six (skipper and 5 crew) for households only. Again, all members of this crew must be within a single Household.

All other limitations, will remain in place until we move to SCOW's Phase 2. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you for your support.

Stay well!

Richard Kaiser,
Commodore
