Commodore Memorandum

________

Good Morning,

I hope that this note finds you and your family well. Our prayers go out to all of you for good health and safety through these difficult times.

We've all heard the new guidelines in place from Mayor Bowser, Governor Northam and Governor Hogan. While restrictions have been imposed on our communities through the end of April or, in the case of Virginia, the end of May, we are a bit more optimistic (naive?).

The Board recently met to discuss the guidelines and status of SCOW boats and other Club activities. The Board has voted to extend our no-boating directive to keep our boats out of service through April 15th and SCOW events through the end of April.  We will continue to monitor the situation and make modifications to this schedule as appropriate.

We know that this is very difficult for all of us, but we must do our part to flatten the curve and stay healthy.

If you would like to discuss these directives, please feel free to contact me or any of your Board members.

Thank you for your support. Stay healthy and be safe.

Richard Kaiser, Commodore
