Social Sail

During sailing season (late April to late September), SCOW meets every Thursday evening for Social Sails at Washington Sailing Marina from 6:00PM to dusk.  Flying Scot excursions around the lagoon, accompanied by an on-shore cookout and socializing.  Potential members and guests are welcome to attend.

If your interested in hosting one of SCOW Social Sails, take a peak inside the
Social Sail for Dummies or the shorter version, Social Sails in a Nutshell, and find out how easy and fun it is! For those who want to make sailing buddies without exploring your culinary side, try volunteering for Dockmaster. Take the Dockmaster Rules for the Road for a spin to see what it's all about.

But what ever you do ... come on down!!

Every Wednesday evening starting May through September, members meet at the Washington Sailing Marina at 6:00 pm for informal races. SCOW members also race it's two cruising boats in the Daingerfield Island Cruising Fleet race series every Tuesday evening from the third week in April through October.

Chesapeake Bay Activities

Throughout the sailing season there are SCOW sailing events that occur either on or near the Chesapeake Bay. To lead a bay sail or to invite SCOW members aboard your boat on the bay, please contact bay@scow.org.

If you wish to be added to a "general" crew list for bay boats, contact baycrew@scow.org. All bay sails listed in the SCOW calendar are tentative until a leader is announced. News about bay sailing events will be announced by email.
