SCOW members, join your fellow club members for a fun-filled Friday night sail on the Potomac, followed by a raft-up with the other SCOW cruisers and privately owned boats! Enjoy the summer evening breeze, get to know your fellow sailors, and show off your culinary skills by bringing a dish to share! June 9		General Meeting Monday, June 9 Socializing begins at 6:30 p.m.; Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. American Legion Post 400 Cameron Street (around the corner from Gadsby's Tavern) Old Town, Alexandria Ever wondered what it would be like to charter a boat and sail in the Caribbean? SCOW member Joy Motheral and a friend did just that this past March, testing their skills and fortitude with a week-long charter in the British Virgin Islands. June 14-15		2008 Alexandria Waterfront Festival Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 Old Town Alexandria Waterfront Make plans now to attend this annual festival benefitting the Alexandria Chapter of the American Red Cross! SCOW will be there and will be looking for members to help man the SCOW booth -- watch the all-SCOW email for a call for volunteers! June 20		A Mid-Summer's Night Sail June Friday Night Sail and Raft-Up Friday, June 20 Potomac River 6:30 p.m. until skippers call it a night! SCOW members, the Friday Night Sails continue with a Mid-Summer's Night Sail on the eve of the Summer Solstice! Join your fellow club members for another fun-filled Friday night sail on the Potomac, followed by a raft-up with the other SCOW cruisers and member-owned boats!
